North Region
The North Region of Singapore is one of the five regions in the city-state. The region is the second largest region in terms of land area, and has a population of 582,330. Woodlands is the regional centre and also the most populous town with 255,130 residents living in the area.

Sembawang is home to one of the few parks in Singapore with a natural beach. Developed
in the 1970s, the park is a popular spot for camping or a day by the beach. A wide range of
fauna, flora, and bird species have made the park their nesting grounds.

Woodlands has grown to become a town with large open spaces, grasslands, parks, recreational facilities, and communal
gardens. Residents can also look forward to the newly opened Kampung Admiralty – an integrated residential development
with a range of healthcare, eldercare, childcare, and commercial facilities to serve residents of the area.

Developed in the 1980s, Yishun is one of the earliest middle-aged HDB towns, with the first flats being built
at Chong Pang. The new Yishun Integrated Transport Hub that was opened in 2019, is part of the Northpoint
City development that includes private residences, a retail mall, a community centre, and a town plaza.
