West Region
The West Region of Singapore is one of the five regions in the city-state. The region is the largest in terms of land area and is the third most populous region after the North-East Region and Central Region.
Jurong East is the regional centre of the region, with plans of developing the Jurong Lake District into a second CBD area. Jurong West is the most populous town in the region, with a population of 262,730 residents. Comprising 25,500 hectares of land area, it includes twelve planning areas and is home to about 922,540 residents.

Bukit Batok has since developed into a self-sufficient town with shopping centres, nature park,
stadium, clubhouses, and an industrial park, making it a cohesive living environment for work
and play. A well-known attraction commonly associated with the town is Little Guilin; a now
defunct granite quarry that is beautifully landscaped with footpaths.

From a place mainly filled with kampungs and villages, Bukit Panjang has been
transformed into a self-contained town, consisting mainly of residential estates.

Choa Chu Kang consists of 7 neighbourhoods including Keat Hong, Yew Tee, and Teck Whye. Choa Chu
Kang has since evolved into a modern housing estate with ample community and recreational facilities.

Jurong East constitutes the area around Jurong Town Hall Road and the Pan Island Expressway,
as well as the Teban and Pandan estates. Jurong East is also part of the largest industrial area in Singapore.
Besides the new shopping malls in the area, nature lovers can head to the Chinese and Japanese Gardens. A tranquil getaway
from the hustle and bustle of the main town area, the gardens feature traditional Chinese and Japanese architectural styles.

Jurong West is the largest town in the Western part of Singapore, and is home to an estimated 258,100 HDB residents.

university, the Nanyang Technological University is located near the town at Nanyang Avenue.
